The CCUrtiss JN-4H was the leading United States training plane during World War I. The plane in the picture was at Ellington Field, Texas and the flag on the rudder is to warn other planes that it is being flown by a student on his first solo flight. CURTISS ROBIN

The Curtiss Robin in which Douglas "Wrong Way" Corrigan made the historic flight from New York  to Ireland in July 1938. NORTHROP "SKY CHIEF" GAMMA

The Northrop "Sky Chief" Gamma was the first Gamma built by Northrop. It was delivered to Frank Hawks for the Texas Company. The Gammas were custom built to fit the customer's special needs and the second one was delivered to Sir Hubert Wilkins for Antarctic exploration. Year: 1934. RYAN PT - 21

SIKORSKY S - 38
