JON A. BRUNKER COLLECTION

CESSNA COLLECTION #1

These were all taken at Bankstown Airport, Sydney, Australia in 1959 - 1960
They are an interesting lot, mainly because of the old colour schemes.

DESCRIPTION THUMBNAIL
CESSNA C 150

A very old one with US registration, could even be the 'first of type'
in Australia.
Photographed in the old Rex Aviation Hangar.
(BTW I have 4,500hrs in C 150/2s)

CESSNA C 170
CESSNA C 172 SKYHAWK

Photographed in the Bankstown training area,
I was flying a Victa Airtourer 100 at the time.

CESSNA C 172 SKYHAWK

I would not have liked to fly in this one!!!
The registration number is a complete turn off!!!

CESSNA C 172 SKYHAWK

This one was one of the first 'traffic report' aircraft in the world.
From the Sydney radio station 2SM

A 'fastback' model down from Broken Hill in the far west of
N.S.W. Silver City Air Taxis.

Early cropdusting equipment.

CESSNA C 180 SKYWAGON

Early cropdusting equipment.

CESSNA C 180 SKYWAGON

Australian Army Skwagon, they used these for many years.
A couple of the originals are still flying today in the old colour scheme.
The light patches were 'dayglo' orange, & the rest was in Olive drab.

CESSNA C 180 SKYWAGON

For those of you who know BK it is "Black Charlie's" Hill in the back ground.
It is now completely covered in housing.
Also there are a couple of Sid Marshall's Ansons in the background.

CESSNA C 185 SKYWAGON
CESSNA C 190

This particular C190 was later fitted with the 300HP Jacobs
radial & became a C195.
Great aircraft to fly, the cockpit layout looked like something
out of an old Buick motor car. A very advanced aircraft
for it's day & has some outstanding engineering features.

CESSNA C 190

Photographed in the same spot in Rex's hangar as the C150.

CESSNA C 210 CENTURION

Again from Silver City Air Taxis. For the pre-flight on 210's
with gear doors it was essential to pump the doors down
to do a proper pre flight.

CESSNA SKYHOOK

Just a bonus from my collection.
