JOHN STEWART - JONES

John has worked in the aircraft industry for over 40 years.

As  a design draughtsman John has worked for many large U.K. & Australian aircraft companies. He has worked on the initial design of aircraft & missiles, such as the TSR 2, Hawker Siddley HS 125, GAF 'Nomad', AAC 'Wamira', McDonnell Douglas MD 900 Explorer & the anti-submarine 'Ikara' Missile.

John is a recognised Flight Test Observer & a pilot with over 3,500 hours experience on single & twin engined aircraft. He is also an accomplished aerobatic pilot & has instructed advanced aerobatics on the Pitts Special.

Because of his drafting background, John is able to use pencil & charcoal drawing to great effect.

His prints are $20.00 Australian each & are individually signed.

The finished print size is 325mm X 250mm (12¾" X 10"). Original art works are also available.

 

COLIN PARKER

Colin completed an Engineering apprenticeship in the early 1960's at 'de Havillands' in the United Kingdom.

He went on to become Senior Illustrator at 'Rolls Royce', Leavesden UK, & was responsible for creating many of the marvellous full colour cutaways of the engines designed & built by the company.

In search of a better life, Colin emigrated to Australia. He is currently the Chief Illustrator at 'Hawker de Havilland Ltd.' Bankstown Australia. He is responsible for the production of artwork associated with promoting the company world wide, the production of Technical Manuals & all other specialised illustrations.

Colin is a member of the 'Australian Society of Aviation Artists' (ASAA) & Artist Friend of the 'Guild of Aviation Artists' of The United Kingdom.

Colin is in high demand for commission work. Apart from cutaway drawings, he has produced many excellent acrylic & oil paintings.

 

PETER (Spike) WADEMAN

Born in Nottingham, United Kingdom in 1946, Peter (known as 'Spike') grew up in the post war years amidst bombed buildings & the stories of heroes.

Spike's father had flown Spitfires during the war. He took Spike to every air display in & around London.

As a teenager Spike was a member of the Air Cadets which developed his abilities in aircraft recognition, model making & drawing aircraft.

Following Art School his illustrative ability gained him a place in the prestigious London design studios of 'The Design Group' during the late 1960's.

While working in the commercial world of advertising, Spike was also a member of the 49th Parachute Brigade. This maintained his contact & appreciation of aircraft & an understanding of the latest technology.

It has been the 30 years of drawing experience that has brought Spike to this point in his career, the chance to follow his passion & paint what he loves ......... aircraft.!!

Spike has exhibited at New Zealand's 'Warbirds over Wanaka' air display & in the United States at the EAA convention at Oshkosh. Spike & his family are currently residing in New Zealand.
